Yahoo Email Preferences
Ripped from the headlines…
If you use Yahoo and have an account there, please check your marketing preferences. They have recently turned many of them to “enroll.” π
If you have a Yahoo account, go to My Yahoo then:
1.Select Account Info at the top right
2.You may need to type in your password
3.Select “Edit your marketing preferences” mid-way down the page
4.Enroll in what you want. Chances are, 100% of them are set to YES.I was trying to figure out where the flood of SPAM was coming from… Now I know, GRRRRRR

New Sony Clieβs Announced
Check them all out here…
My wife still loves her T615, I’ll stick with my Compaq iPaq PocketPC 3630 for now… But if that were to break, its gonna be a tough call. Guess I will wait to see what the new PocketPC / Phones look like and offer…

Email on a Sony Clie T615?
David Harris sent me this…
Patrick,
I am interested in buying either the Palm 515 or the
Sony T615. I read somewhere that the Sony model does
not support e-mail. Is this true? If so, what do you
know about the 515?Thanks.
David Harris
Well, David…
The Clie does support email… Though I haven’t figured out how to set it up on a mac since that is un-supported.
The T615 is a good buy, sony just announced some new pda’s which should drive the T615 down in price a bit…
Compared to the 515 the T615 is far and away the better of the two. More memory, flash upgradable and if you use memory stick devices like sony cameras or such, you get that compatiblity.
My wife uses the T615 daily for all her tasks and such, I personally use a PocketPC (Compaq iPaq) but the Sony Clie’s really make me rethink the whole
PocketPC platform for a minute. If you are going to drop $400+ on a handheld, you should at least look at some of the new PocketPC’s as well.Good luck…

Happy Easter
Well, I’m in Chicago visiting the wife’s parents and family for Easter…
I’ve been a bit lacking in my web work lately… Oh well, hopefully everything stays working over the weekend.
Should be back in the comforts of home by tommorrow night…
The Jeep has held up great on the trip, almost turning 1000 miles for its first 30 days…
We are bringing back this unfinished doll house, which takes up the whole back of the jeep. Considering that we loaded the jeep up with luggage and baby stuff, this should be really interesting getting everything loaded up with the doll house.
Hopefully it will all fit π

Upgraded my Vaio Laptop to XP this weekend
Well, I finally did it. I upgraded my Sony Vaio Laptop from Windows 2000 to Windows XP Professional.
The install was a bit rocky, some drivers and such were missing. Overall I am liking the change. I had XP Home on my desktop, and decided to take the plunge and update my laptop.
Also, I bought another wireless PC Card by D-link from Best Buy for $69.99 US after a $10 rebate. Plugged it in and viola! XP recognized it, installed some drivers and now I am really liking the Zero Wireless admin function of XP. I can roam around and it will tell me when I am in a Wifi area network.
On another note, will be heading to Chicago this weekend to visit my wife’s family. Should be fun, taking the Liberty down on its first long trip. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Dinner and a Movie
I can’t remember the last time I had a night out… Dinner and a movie. The old phrase goes… Well, I’d love to take my wife out to a nice Dinner and then go see a movie. But you see, it gets a bit complicated… We have a 9 month old baby, named Samantha. Nancy (my wife) isn’t at a point where she feels comfortable being away from the baby for extended periods of time. And frankly, my hat is off to her for it. So far, she and the baby have been together 24/7 since birth it seems. I guess I need to respect that and be patient as I hope she will come around. Anyway, just to let you all know, my last movie I saw in a Theater was Gone in 60 Seconds.
